Welcome!
Thank you for visiting our website. I am honored to serve as the 16th president of Tau Beta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. I invite you to discover our innovative programs, sisterly connections, and upcoming events.
Nestled in the heart of Marina del Rey, California, in the Fascinating Far Western Region, Tau Beta Omega delivers award-winning service to our city by the sea and its surrounding communities. Our Sorority’s 2022-2026 program theme under International President and CEO, Danette Anthony Reed, is Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood. The International Program includes six initiatives that are designed to enhance the social, economic, and educational well-being of local, national, and international communities. They are:
Strengthen Our Sisterhood
Empower Our Families
Build Our Economic Wealth
Enhance Our Environment
Advocate for Social Justice
Uplift Our Local Community
The "Foundation Initiative" under Mrs. Reed is Strengthen Our Sisterhood. This endeavor will fortify our bonds to uphold and enhance our service mission.
Chartered on April 27, 1991, Tau Beta Omega is currently composed of 74 diverse, high-achieving women. We are recent college graduates, successful entrepreneurs, seasoned professionals, and accomplished retirees. We are women celebrating milestone membership years ranging from 25 to more than 65. We are sisters bonded by our beloved Sorority. And, we are devoted to remaining Supreme in Service to All Mankind.
If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha in search of a chapter home, please consider visiting Tau Beta Omega Chapter. Our chapter meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month, except July and August.
Again, thank you for taking the opportunity to visit our site and learn about our chapter. Please subscribe and return often for updates regarding public events and activities as well as announcements related to our service programs. Tau Beta Omega knows that Sisterhood, Service, and Stewardship are a Serious Matter.
We look forward to seeing you soon, and we thank you for your support.
In Sisterhood and Service,
Tinisha Landry
